Social Media Campaign: Interviewing Micah Richards
Role: Global Creative Copywriter
At the beginning of the 2019/20 Premier League season, Entain’s creative studio aimed to generate excitement with a unique project involving recently retired England international Micah Richards.
As global creative copywriter, I led the scriptwriting and prepared questions to create engaging material for bwin’s social media channels. During the shoot, I was on hand to adjust the script and adapt our questions to facilitate the interview process. The director read out the questions, but towards the end, I was asked if I had any follow-up questions. I promptly posed a few to Micah Richards, including asking him (a well-known Manchester City fan), when Manchester would be red again. You can see his reaction in the video below.
I am proud to have played a strong part in a series of successful videos. Micah Richards has since become a popular TV pundit and podcaster. While he may not agree, I like to think his media career began that afternoon with bwin in West London (please don’t burst my bubble).
